Luxury e-commerce
Luxury Furniture Marketplace
Two-year build-out of a curated luxury-furniture marketplace on WooCommerce.
Worked with the two Nyde founders over about two years to deliver bespoke features on top of WooCommerce. Nyde was a curated luxury-furniture marketplace; the site had to do justice to artisan-quality products. Every detail of HTML and CSS needed to read as premium without overengineering.
What got built over the engagement:
A curated marketplace lives or dies on how it makes the customer feel. The team had a clear vision; the engineering brief was make every interaction match it. The Lookbook turned passive browsing into active curation. The colour picker meant customers could search the way they actually think about a piece. The Brands area gave suppliers a route in that did not bog the team down in copy admin.
Boutique e-commerce only works when the platform can quietly accommodate luxury: typography, image presentation, custom flows, without breaking the WooCommerce backbone. Two years of iteration, lots of bespoke work, and a client team that knew exactly what they wanted made this one of the best long-form WooCommerce builds I have shipped.
Long-term, with two founders who treated each new feature as a chance to refine the brand. The cadence was unhurried by agency standards, which paid back in build quality. The business has since wound down; the case study stays because it is a representative example of what premium WooCommerce work looks like at its best.
All case studiesBoutique e-commerce, long-form WooCommerce work, premium UX. Bread-and-butter for me.
Misbehaving stack? Codebase that won't play fair?
