New Website & Bluesky Launch

New online spaces, new creative horizons

Working on my new website tonight. It will primarily focus on business, but I'll also showcase personal projects and artworks I've created in the past. It feels like it's coming together well, even though it's still a work-in-progress.

I'm also planning to use Bluesky as a microblogging tool, pulling in select threads of mine as formatted text. I've considered a few different methods for doing this. One option was to manually select posts to add to the site, but that turned out to be a hassle. I'm not great with anything that creates friction, as it tends to make things fall by the wayside!

The cleanest solution seems to be signing off with a little emoji (bear with me!). Using the Bluesky API, I can pull in any thread in which the last post includes a certain emoji. For instance, it could be a little sun... ☀️

Of course, it could be anything, such as a signature or signoff (--R) or something similar. It's essentially just an easy way for me to denote which threads should appear on the site. Like this one!

(Basically just writing this so I've got something to test with!)
