Lost MySpace HTML Builder?
Nostalgia trip down MySpace design lane
I'm trying to recall a drag-and-drop HTML builder I saw ages ago, and it was the wildest thing ever. It had a real strong MySpace-layout energy. It was such great fun, but I can't find it again.
Every result I come across is like, "Hey! Build your site with us today" *shows you the most boring marketing layout you've ever seen*.
I'm looking into what's available in terms of "no knowledge, just want to have fun and create something wild" beginner website building tools. Unfortunately, all I find are the usual frameworks that claim to make things easy, but in reality, there are 29 layers of widgets and complexity.
Where's the good stuff?
The problem is, of course, that it's nearly impossible to build anything on the web just for fun now. Everything tends to be profit-driven, and you're expected to provide 24/7 maintenance and support for even the silliest little widget if it becomes too popular.
